MyKayla Williamson
MyKayla Williamson is an archaeologist dedicated to studying the African Diaspora. She recently graduated from Cornell University with a Master of Arts in Archaeology and training in historic preservation and planning. Her academic journey and research are supported by the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship (NSF GRFP) and the Stanford EDGE Fellowship. At Stanford University, she continues to explore and uncover narratives and experiences of Black people throughout history via utilizing archaeological fieldwork and scholarly analysis. Her work aims to shed light on marginalized communities as well as contribute to a more comprehensive understanding of historical time frames and how they shape thoughts and perceptions in modernity.
