Ancient Sagalassos was a quintessential Roman provincial town in what is now SW Turkey. Jeroen Poblome, the director of the Sagalassos Archaeological Research Project of the University of Leuven, Belgium, will present recent results of the ongoing archaeological and interdisciplinary research programme on Sagalassos and its associated study region. He will focus on aspects of regional development, then and now, and on the nature of the communities of Sagalassos, then and now.
